What To Expect

1

Day 1: Welcome Aboard the Dahabiya – The Journey Begins

As you step off your flight or depart from your hotel, our warm and professional team will be waiting to greet you. From that moment, your royal journey begins. You’ll be transferred in comfort to the Dahabiya, a floating sanctuary of elegance and heritage. The moment you step on board, you’ll be captivated by its refined ambiance — teak wood interiors, hand-crafted furnishings, and the soft murmur of the Nile surrounding you.

After settling into your private suite, unwind and take in the tranquil scenery. Soon, you’ll be invited to enjoy your first gourmet lunch, freshly prepared by the onboard chef, as the Dahabiya begins her graceful sail along the legendary Nile.

In the afternoon, your Egyptologist guide will accompany you to explore Luxor’s magnificent East Bank, home to some of ancient Egypt’s most iconic treasures.

Your first visit is to the Luxor Temple, a breathtaking monument dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship. Unlike other temples, it was not built for a god but as a ceremonial site where pharaohs were crowned, bridging the mortal and divine worlds.

Next, you’ll visit the Karnak Temple Complex, the largest ancient religious site in the world. Over 30 pharaohs contributed to its construction, creating a vast network of temples, chapels, and pylons that tell the evolving story of ancient Egypt’s devotion to its gods.

Return to your Dahabiya as the sun sets, savor afternoon tea and cake, followed by a delightful dinner beneath the stars. Your first night will be spent moored along the Luxor West Bank, surrounded by timeless beauty.

Included Meals: Lunch, Afternoon Tea & Cake, Dinner
Overnight: Luxor West Bank

Day 2: Discover the Mysteries of Luxor’s West Bank

After a delicious breakfast, your adventure continues on the West Bank of Luxor, a treasure trove of ancient tombs and temples. Begin your day at the Valley of the Kings, the eternal resting place of Egypt’s great pharaohs. Step inside the exquisitely decorated tombs, where intricate carvings and vibrant hieroglyphs narrate the royal journey to the afterlife.

Next, you’ll visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, an architectural marvel built for Egypt’s first female pharaoh. Rising dramatically from the desert cliffs, this mortuary temple showcases the sophistication and grandeur of ancient Egyptian design.

Your final stop is at the Colossi of Memnon, two towering statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood as silent sentinels for over 3,000 years.

After this remarkable morning, you’ll return to your Dahabiya. Enjoy lunch and relax as the vessel sails toward Esna, passing through the historic Esna Lock, a fascinating part of Nile navigation. Sit back with afternoon tea and watch the serene landscapes drift by before another elegant dinner on board.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea & Cake, Dinner
Overnight: At a Nile Island near Esna

Day 3: Temples of Horus & Sobek – Edfu to Kom Ombo

Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast as your Dahabiya glides gently towards Edfu. Upon arrival, experience a touch of old-world charm with a horse-drawn carriage ride to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god of the sky. One of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, Edfu offers a stunning glimpse into Ptolemaic architecture and ancient myth.

Continue sailing south and stop at Gebel El Silsila, the ancient sandstone quarry that supplied much of the stone for Egypt’s great monuments. Explore the fascinating rock-cut shrines and imagine the labor and devotion that shaped Egypt’s temples.

Later, the Dahabiya reaches Kom Ombo, a unique double temple shared by two gods — Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. Visit the nearby Crocodile Museum, where mummified crocodiles reveal the depth of ancient Egyptian beliefs.

Return to your Dahabiya for an evening of relaxation, tea and cake, and another sumptuous dinner as you drift beneath a canopy of stars.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea & Cake, Dinner
Overnight: A tranquil Nile Island

Day 4: The Beauty of Aswan

Wake to the gentle sound of the Nile as your Dahabiya sails toward Aswan, the jewel of southern Egypt. After lunch, set off to explore this vibrant city of culture and natural beauty.

Your first visit is to the Aswan High Dam, an impressive modern engineering feat that tamed the Nile and provided power to millions of Egyptians. Then, journey to the enchanting Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Rescued from the rising waters of the Nile, this temple now rests gracefully on Agilkia Island, surrounded by clear waters and lush vegetation — one of Egypt’s most romantic and atmospheric sites.

Return to your Dahabiya to relax and share a farewell dinner as your unforgettable Nile journey nears its end.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea & Cake, Dinner
Overnight: Aswan
