What To Expect

1

Day 1: Welcome to Aswan – Aswan Sightseeing

Begin your Nile adventure with embarkation before lunch, where you’ll settle into your comfortable cabin and get your first glimpse of life on the river. In the afternoon, set out to explore Aswan’s treasures. Start with the High Dam, a monumental engineering project that tamed the Nile and created Lake Nasser, offering sweeping panoramic views. Next, travel by motorboat to Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Its romantic setting on Agilkia Island, surrounded by tranquil waters, makes it one of Egypt’s most picturesque sites. Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, an immense ancient carving site within Aswan’s granite quarries, revealing fascinating insights into ancient stonework. Return to the boat for dinner and an overnight stay in Aswan.
Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner

2

Day 2: Abu Simbel (Optional) – Kom Ombo Temple

Start the day with an optional excursion to the world-famous Abu Simbel Temples (by road or flight, extra cost). Carved into sandstone cliffs by Ramses II, these monumental temples—dedicated to Ramses and Queen Nefertari—are masterpieces of ancient engineering, relocated in modern times to escape the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Afterward, rejoin your ship and sail north to Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, a rare double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. Explore the striking reliefs, including depictions of ancient medical tools, and stop by the small museum housing mummified crocodiles. Continue sailing to Edfu, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay on board.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

3

Day 3: Edfu Temple – Luxor East Bank

This morning, ride by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples. Its walls vividly depict the epic struggle between Horus and Seth, while the inner sanctuaries showcase ancient rituals. Return to the boat and sail onward to Luxor, enjoying lunch en route. In the afternoon, explore Luxor’s iconic East Bank. Visit the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious site in antiquity, with colossal statues, sacred lakes, and the awe-inspiring Hypostyle Hall of 134 towering columns. As evening falls, walk through the beautifully lit Luxor Temple, glowing under the golden hour sky with its giant statues and elegant courtyards. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

4

Day 4: Luxor West Bank – Departure

After breakfast, disembark for a journey across Luxor’s West Bank. Explore the Valley of the Kings, resting place of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs, where three tombs are included and entry to Tutankhamun’s is optional. Visit the grand Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dramatically set against limestone cliffs, honoring Egypt’s powerful female ruler. End at the towering Colossi of Memnon, remnants of Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple, before concluding your cruise.
Meals Included: Breakfast
