Day 1: Welcome to Luxor & East Bank Exploration

Your unforgettable Nile adventure begins upon arrival at Luxor Airport or your chosen accommodation, where you will be warmly welcomed by our professional Nile Cruisers team. Accompanied by a licensed Egyptologist guide, you will begin exploring the wonders of Luxor’s East Bank before even boarding your cruise.

The first stop is the Karnak Temple Complex, one of the largest and most impressive religious monuments ever built. Stroll through the Avenue of Sphinxes, marvel at the towering Hypostyle Hall with its forest of colossal columns, and admire the magnificent obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut. After immersing yourself in ancient history, you will transfer to your luxury Nile Cruise vessel for embarkation.

A freshly prepared lunch featuring both international and vegetarian cuisine awaits you on board. The afternoon offers free time to relax or explore Luxor at your own pace. Later in the evening, your guide will lead you through the Temple of Luxor, illuminated beautifully at sunset, creating a magical atmosphere. Afterward, return to the ship for dinner and your first overnight stay on the Nile in Luxor.

Day 2: Luxor’s West Bank & Sailing to Aswan

The day begins with a hearty breakfast on board. For early risers, an optional Hot Air Balloon Ride over Luxor provides breathtaking views of the ancient city and Nile Valley (extra cost).

Today’s guided excursion takes you to the West Bank of Luxor, home to some of Egypt’s most iconic monuments. Wander through the Valley of the Kings, where you will step inside several royal tombs, including the legendary tomb of King Tutankhamun, complete with his mummy, coffin, and sarcophagus. The journey continues to the elegant Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dramatically nestled beneath towering cliffs, and then to the massive Colossi of Memnon, two imposing statues that have stood guard for millennia.

Returning to the cruise, enjoy a delicious lunch as the ship sets sail south toward Aswan. Relax on the sun deck with afternoon tea while watching the ever-changing landscapes of the Nile Valley glide past. At Esna, witness the fascinating process of the ship crossing through the lock, an engineering marvel that raises the vessel to a higher level of the river. Dinner and overnight will be spent on board in Edfu.

This unique double temple, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon-headed Horus the Elder, showcases stunning reliefs and offers insight into ancient Egyptian medicine and mythology.

After exploring the site, return to the vessel for lunch while sailing onward to Aswan. Spend the afternoon relaxing on deck, sipping tea as the Nile’s beauty unfolds before you. Dinner and overnight will be on board in Aswan.

Your guided Aswan tour includes the enchanting Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and set on a picturesque island, accessible only by boat. You’ll also visit the Unfinished Obelisk, which lies in the granite quarries and reveals ancient stone-carving techniques, as well as Aswan’s famous granite quarries themselves.

After returning to the ship for lunch, the afternoon offers a leisurely sail aboard a traditional Felucca, a wind-powered boat that has been gliding along the Nile since the 16th century.
