What To Expect

1

Day 1: Aswan Sightseeing

Your adventure begins as you embark on your deluxe cruise in Aswan before lunch. After settling into your comfortable cabin, step ashore to explore the highlights of this vibrant city. Start with a visit to the High Dam, a 20th-century engineering achievement that forever changed Egypt’s landscape by controlling the Nile’s floods and creating the vast Lake Nasser. From its crest, enjoy panoramic views across the lake and desert horizon.

Next, board a motorboat for a short ride to Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Relocated to Agilkia Island to save it from submersion, the temple’s serene setting amid gentle waters and lush scenery makes it one of Egypt’s most enchanting sites. Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, lying in the granite quarries of Aswan, where ancient stonemasons abandoned their colossal project after cracks appeared. This site offers fascinating insights into the techniques used by ancient Egyptians to carve their monuments. Return to your vessel for dinner and your first overnight stay on board in Aswan.

Day 2: Kom Ombo Temple & Sailing

Sail north toward Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique twin temple shared by two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. Admire detailed reliefs, including scenes of medical instruments that highlight Egypt’s advanced knowledge of science and healing. Nearby, a small museum displays mummified crocodiles, a curious reminder of ancient worship. Continue sailing to Edfu, where you’ll enjoy dinner and overnight on board.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Edfu Temple – Karnak and Luxor Temples

This morning, take a horse-drawn carriage through the town of Edfu to the Temple of Horus, one of the most complete and best-preserved temples in Egypt. Dedicated to the falcon-headed god, its towering pylons and intricate reliefs narrate the legendary battle between Horus and Seth.

Rejoin your cruise and sail to Luxor, with lunch served en route. In the afternoon, step into history on Luxor’s East Bank. Wander through the monumental Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious sanctuary of the ancient world, featuring colossal statues, a sacred lake, and the breathtaking Hypostyle Hall, a forest of 134 massive columns. As evening falls, continue to the Luxor Temple, softly illuminated as the sun sets. Its majestic statues and graceful courtyards create an unforgettable atmosphere. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4: Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temples

Begin with the Valley of the Kings, where Egypt’s pharaohs were laid to rest in elaborately decorated tombs. Visit three included tombs, with the option to enter the famed tomb of Tutankhamun. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a striking terraced structure dramatically framed by towering cliffs, honoring Egypt’s most powerful female ruler. Conclude your journey with a stop at the imposing Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues guarding the remains of Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple.

Your cruise ends here, but the memories of sailing the Nile and walking in the footsteps of pharaohs will stay with you forever.
